Property care in Hvar
Hvar is long and narrow and, at some 68 kilometres, the longest island in Croatia. Considerable driving time separates the ferry berth at Stari Grad from the towns in the east.
What we watch for in Hvar
Hvar is the most demanding island in our area logistically: a long crossing, long distances on the island, and scarce ferry capacity in peak season. We schedule properties here on fixed weekdays and say openly that emergencies can take longer than on the mainland.
The general checklist — roof, façade, windows, water, electrics, damp — is the same everywhere. What differs are the points that, in our experience, cause trouble here first.
Additionally in Hvar
- Fixed weekdays because of the long crossing
- Emergency times stated realistically, not talked up
- Trade appointments only plannable in the shoulder season
Typical properties in Hvar
Villas with pools around Hvar town, historic stone houses in Stari Grad and Vrboska, plus houses in the wine villages inland.
Regular inspections
Inside and out to a fixed checklist, with a photo report after every visit. Weekly, fortnightly or monthly — you decide.
Keys and emergencies
Secure key storage with a log, and someone who turns up after a storm, a leak or a break-in.
Trades on the ground
Quotes from vetted partner firms, instruction once you approve, supervision during the work and a check of the invoice.
We cover the neighbouring towns too
Properties in the surrounding area are visited on the same round. If your house sits between two of these places, just ask — the boundary is not the town sign.
